EVERY ENGRAVING IS UNIQUE!
Febo is a solar engraver that works without batteries, instead drawing on the entirely sustainable power of the sun. Using the power of concentrated sunrays, it allows you to engrave on hard surfaces. Use Febo on natural materials like wood, cork and leather to create beautiful and intricate artworks.
The Sun is for everyone
FEBO IS USER-FRIENDLY
Thanks to its simple design and solid structure, Febo is very intuitive to use. Its semi circular wooden body facilitates handling and ensures the maximum control. Just remember to sketch on your chosen material with a pencil before using Febo: graphite makes the engraving more precise.
With 36 original stencils
For easy customisation
Use our many different artwork stencils to create stunning engravings in minutes. Use them as they are, combine them or add your own flare to the drawing. Just place the stencils where you want your design to be, trace the cut out with a pencil and engrave on the sketch!
How to use Febo
PUT YOUR GOGGLES ON AND START ENGRAVING
When the sun is shining, wear the provided protective goggles. Get your Febo out and keep it perpendicular to the sun to allow the lens correctly concentrate the sun’s rays in a beam. When you see the beam begins to leave physical marks on your surface of choice, begin following your pattern or drawing with Febo to engrave.
Sketch your design with a pencil, graphite allows for faster engraving
Always wear your goggles to protect your eyes from the sun’s rays
Keep Febo perpendicular to the sun
Keep Febo stored in its protective bag when not in use
Place Febo at 90°
Place Febo perpendicular to the sun
Remember to keep Febo at 90°s to the sun, by tilting the surface you want to engrave on. When in position, Febo’s lens will automatically concentrate the sun rays into a focal point. When this small circle of concentrated light begins engraving, you can begin to move Febo along your pencil sketch.
If Febo is not placed at 90°s, the light won’t be concentrated enough to guarantee an accurate engraving. Naturally, the strength of the light depends on weather conditions at the time of use.
Not an ordinary magnifying glass
A POWERFUL LENS PRECISELY CALIBRATED
Febo's lens is custom-made to be as effective as it gets for a purpose: Solar engraving! Febo is designed to always be at the exact focal distance to draw with the sun. Forget the regular magnifying glasses that burn slowly and without control! Febo is a much more precise and powerful tool, making you achieve great results in less time and without getting your arm and wrist tired.

Created by a team of women
From a students’ project to an entrepreneurial reality
Febo is born from the imagination of a group of students (all girls) during a course at the Design University in Milan. After an initial Kickstarter campaign, their idea became an entrepreneurial reality. As they are still very much part of the project, they are receiving royalties for each Febo sold.
